IRCC Removes Job Offer Points from CRS Calculator
IRCC has quietly removed the 50 and 200 CRS points for arranged employment from its official CRS calculator. While job offer points still appear in Express Entry profiles, the change suggests a phased implementation that could significantly impact how candidates improve their CRS scores.
IRCC has quietly removed the 50 and 200 CRS points for arranged employment from their official CRS calculator — a clear sign that this change is being rolled out in the backend before it’s reflected in Express Entry profiles or officially announced.
Previously, candidates with a valid job offer could claim:
- 50 points for NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 roles
- 200 points for senior-level NOC 00 positions
These points gave many applicants a major CRS boost. With their removal, the playing field shifts — especially in favor of those relying on other factors like work experience, education, or category-based selection.
At the time of writing, job offer points are still visible inside Express Entry profiles, but they no longer appear in the CRS calculator — suggesting this change is already being implemented in stages.
We expect an official announcement from IRCC shortly.
Keep an eye out — we’ll share updates as soon as they’re released.
